Accessibility statement

The hict.fi website of the Helsinki Doctoral Education Network in Information and Communications Technology (HICT) is subject to the EU’s accessibility directive and we are committed to providing sufficient level of accessibility for the website’s intended target audience.

The current hict.fi website was published in 2021. This accessibility statement was published and updated on 8 June 2021.

Accessibility status of the website

The hict.fi website is partly compliant with the requirements for accessibility. The most significant deficiencies are the following:

Some used text formats may not be always easy to read (e.g. text is in italics or in small format). Some content is occasionally in the form of pdf files. Some images are missing descriptions and some of the images may occasionally use difficult coloring for color blind people. Some of the text content has been imported from the old hict.fi website which was published prior to 23 September 2018.

We are currently screening the content of the website and correct the deficiencies in accessibility in the present website. We are also training our staff in providing content in accessible form and monitoring our website’s accessibility status.
